Barraclough & Sons, Leeds, "Makers to the Admiralty," 48mm, 18K gold original demi-HC with blue enameling to front, initials to rear, case bearing London hallmarks for 1901, "J.H" marking in cameo possibly for casemaker Joseph Homeward, gold cuvette with 1910 presentation, cream colored enamel SS dial, SW-pin-set, fully capped lever escapement, 19J, gilt mvt, s#57246 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 60.2 dwt (93.7 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, few scattered fine scratches, some ultra-fine scratch striations likely from a light wiping; nearly flawless dial with mild fine scratch within seconds-register; excellent hands; case shows very little wear, upper portion of band is tarnished, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail, blue enamel detail is fully intact; bow pivots freely, crown shows light wear; good glass crystals.
